Everyone has mental health….

Today in our MindMate lesson, we learned about mental health and what it means. We talked about how mental health affects how we feel and think and how anyone can experience poor mental health at times.

We discussed ways to support good mental health, such as talking to a trusted adult, relaxing and looking after ourselves. We also learned how strong emotions can affect mental health and practised using kind and appropriate language when talking about these topics.

At the end of the lesson, the children created uplifting posters with positive affirmations and practical ideas to help someone who might be struggling. The posters shared kind messages and helpful strategies to support others.
